Thanks to the homologation rules of the Group A rally championships, road versions of rally cars became available for the larger audience. With six consecutive wins in the World Rally Championships the Lancia Delta Integrale dominated the rally world end of the 80’s, beginning 90’s and became extremely popular around the world with the streetcar for the few that could afford it.
Nowadays the Lancia Delta Integrale is still recognised as one of the most iconic cars produced. The later produced Evo version (1991-1994) are the most developed Integrale’s bringing a wealth of Group A rally success and innovation together in what could be called the ultimate road car in terms of handling. Whereby the Evo 1 (without Catalyst 1991-1992) had 210 Bhp/ 298 Nm and the Evo 2 (1993-1994) was fitted with catalyst and with 215 Bhp/ 308 Nm at a lower Rpm the most powerful engine in the Integrale line. Even against today’s standards the handling and mechanical grip of the Evo’s is mindblowing. You simply have to experience it.
Sadly, much of these cars have been often driven hard and especially between the end of the 90’s up to mid 00’s when these cars were on an all-time low value, the Delta’s were not always treated properly by its previous owners. To find a good, non-modified example is not easy especially for the most sought Evo 2 version of which only around 1250 were produced – excluding the special editions.
However, we can offer this unique Evo 2 in one of the most fascinating colour combinations. This Evo 2 was originally delivered in Japan, where the Integrale was extremely popular, and kept complete standard during its entire life. We bought this Integrale on private title years ago when the sourcing of Delta’s in Japan was still good. The car then moved from our collection to the one and only EU owner from which we bought the car back after being maintained very well and garaged for 5 years. With not even 69K kilometers and full history, its rare these days to find such an Integrale Evo 2.
The body of this Evo 2 is straight and absolutely no rust or chassis cracks on the obvious places. The Monza Rossa paint scheme is in a very good shape being once repainted for cosmetic reasons (pictures available) and now with a minimum wear and tear. The bright original red colour highlights the aggressive looks of the car which matches fantastically with the beige interior. This Evo comes with the original EU supplied Hella headlights as in Japan normally the 16v headlights were used due to regulations. All body parts, blinkers and lights are original parts. No after market parts used which is often seen with these type Delta’s. Underneath the Delta is extremely clean and another proof of good maintenance and care by its previous owner. There is no use of tectyl so very transparent to check all areas in detail. No (accident) repairs – all original and hard to find. The Evo is fitted with the standard supplied 16inch Speedline wheels and new Pirelli’s all around
The Interior is also kept standard with the great looking Recaro highback alcantara seats. The used alcantara with these Delta’s is normally an area of concern and often seen with holes and rips even with very low mileage cars. With this example, the clothing and seat bolsters are in really good shape. No hanging headliner and all plastics in good condition as well. All electrics/ instruments are working even the A/C blows solid cold air. Original parcel shelf with no speaker holes, pretty unique. Extremely clean and well maintained example of an Evo 2 complete with original spare wheel and toolkit.
The last owner didn’t spare any costs and initiated a full engine revision in 2016/17 whilst ensuring it kept its matching numbers. The revision included many new parts i.e original Colombo and Bariani camshafts, turbo revision, oilpump, clutch etc etc. All parts supplied by THE Lancia Delta Integrale specialist in the Netherlands Rene de Graaf and over 10K on invoices included. This Delta Integrale is handling extremely well with both healthy oil pressure and turboboost. There are no further modifications done to the Evo, except replacement of 4 Koni shock-absorbers, a true add value upgrade for those who are familiar with the Integrale. Gearbox/ clutch functions well, a true pleasure to drive this Evo.
People experienced with Evo’s know how hard it is to find a good and standard example, we got one…..again
We work only with fixed prices, this to increase transparency and clarity. Those serious in the market will appreciate its pricing vs offered specs within the current market.
